Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)
Treatment Plan
Neurotoxins, such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, can be used to treat hyperhidrosis, a medical condition characterized by excessive sweating. Neurotoxins work by blocking the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which is involved in stimulating sweat glands to produce sweat.
When injected into the affected area, such as the underarms , scalp or palms, neurotoxins can help to reduce sweating by blocking the signals that tell the sweat glands to produce sweat. The treatment typically involves multiple injections in the affected area, and the effects can last for several months.
Studies have shown that neurotoxins are an effective treatment option for hyperhidrosis, with up to 80-90% of patients experiencing a significant reduction in sweating.
